Comic-Con Fans Arrive to Save the Vamps

One of the annual rituals at Comic-Con is the blood drive for the San Diego Blood Bank. Once again, the drive was sponsored by True Blood – how else to save the vamps? In the drive's 37 year history, 12,488 pints of blood have been collected; on Thursday, on-site manager Shelly Rufenacht said they were on their way to meet the day's goal of 400 pints. The blood drive continues through Sunday and is located inside the Omni Hotel, in the Omni Ballroom (on the 4th floor) across the street from the Convention Center at the Fifth Avenue door.
