The Fangover: What Sookie Missed; Jessica's Vlog Is Back; And Another Season

By Michael Gluckstadt

As it turns out, we're not the only ones who have been missing Sookie all this time—she's been gone from Bon Temps for over a year. To help her adjust, The Hollywood Reporter put together a list of 10 Things Sookie Missed While Fraternizing With Fairies, including "Lafayette's gnarly mo-hawk" and "Eric working the man-cleavage." In the Inside the Episode video on, director Michael Lehmann and writer Alexander Woo wonder if Eric's connection to Sookie is deeper than previously thought.

Sookie's adventures in faerie-land garnered a lot of attention, with some writers noticing its similarity to the work of Maxfield Parrish, and rightfully so. Charlaine Harris, author of the Sookie Stackhouse novels and something of an authority on the subject, knew something wasn't right about the place and tweeted: "Aha! I knew it couldn’t all be white tutus and happiness!"

Elsewhere, Jessica took to her blog to get some homemaking advice—help her out if you can. And show creator Alan Ball explains the change in Tara's arc. “We felt like it was time for Tara to stop being the victim,” he said. “It was time for Tara to really take charge of her life in a way that would be surprising and would give us some fun places to go story wise."

Fans of the show's music (and who isn't?) got a kick out of the episode’s closing credit song and episode title, Nick Cave and Neko Case’s cover of the Zombies' British invasion hit, "She's Not There."

Lastly, Variety reports that the show has been picked up for another season. So get ready for more True Blood coming your way. Subscribers can start with an early look at next week's episode on HBO GO.
